Interactive Modes

Notes:

GRUB is interactive software, and it has
several modes in which it works. If you
simply load GRUB, it comes up in a
shell or command line mode. It has a
nice menu mode in which you can
select from a list of options using the
cursor keys, and a restricted or secure
mode which requires a password
before you can do anything dangerous.
There is also a GRUB emulation shell
that runs under Linux, which is useful
for installing GRUB and testing menus.
